Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) Program Overview

The Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) at Reformed and Presbyterian Seminary is a four-year, Christ-centered program designed for individuals called to full-time Christian ministry. It equips students with a solid foundation in biblical studies, Reformed theology, church history, and practical ministry.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: General core curriculum for all students.
  • Years 2–4: Option to specialize in one of the following ministry tracks:
    • Christian Education
    • Church Music

What You Will Study

1. Biblical Studies

  • Old and New Testaments
  • Biblical Interpretation
  • Biblical Languages (Hebrew & Greek)

2. Systematic Theology

  • Doctrines of God, Christ, Salvation, Church, and Eschatology

3. Church History

  • Historical development of Christianity with focus on the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition

4. Practical Theology

  • Preaching, Pastoral Care, Leadership, Discipleship, and Evangelism

5. Specialized Tracks (Optional)

  • Christian Education: Teaching methods, curriculum planning
  • Church Music: Music theory, choir direction, worship leadership

Admission Requirements

  • Calling: Clear sense of call to full-time ministry
  • Church Life: Active, baptized member of a local church
  • Education: Minimum 10+2 (higher secondary) or equivalent
  • English Proficiency: Must pass the English Standard Test (EST)
  • Ministry Experience: Mature applicants with 7+ years of ministry may be considered

Admission Process

  1. Submit an application with academic transcripts

  4. Attend an online interview with RPS faculty
  5. Pass the EST and placement exam
  6. Receive official confirmation of admission
